Happy Birthday Dad/Grandpa Ron. We love you so much and are praying that you feel better. BTW - I hope you liked Ethan’s special song to you.
Ethan is doing really well at his piano lessons. The teacher is so nice, we just have to figure out a way for him to practice during the week. Jeppy had two days off right in the middle of the week. He had some reserve work to do and welcomed three new reserves, he is so good at mentoring them. Ethan had a sleepover last night that he has been looking forward to all week!!! We walked him over there and then Chels and I worked on her “Project me” scrapbook but really we ended up watching movies (simon birch - makes me cry everytime and uncle buck - makes me laugh everytime) and Pink’s concert. Loved the one on one time, have to do that more. She is so fun….off to zumba.

Chels threw-up last night and stayed home from school, poor love. She is feeling better now and headed back to school tomorrow. She has been so amazing lately, such a blessing and such a helper. Tonight she made Ethan cheese and crackers for his bedtime snack, our girl is growing up. Sometimes I worry about Ethan and how much he likes to play video games, tonight he was playing Wii and said, “Mom, if I make this I will be on the next chapter.” Put my heart at ease that he speaks in chapters, that reader of ours. I cleaned our garage so Jeppy can park in there also, I am sure the black racer will be glad to be out of the snow….
what a relaxing weekend. Chels spent quite a bit of time with Joker. My friend’s daughter, Izzy came to stay with us for the weekend while her mom was away. That was really fun. Ethan and I played like crazy and we just watched Up. I really liked that movie! Such a great message. Wow, two really excellent movies this weekend, what a treat. Jeppy will be home from work soon and we are planning some 2010 adventures, I can’t wait! Be blessed and know whereever you are, I love you!
That movie was so awesome. I loved the diplomatic message and the visuals were spectacular. What a great escape for a couple hours. Simply beautiful.
today I took off and did nothing except relax, clean, and enjoy peace and quiet, it was bliss. massage at 12:15pm, Yahoo - then I get to pick-up Ethan from school, what a treat!
today I took the train to Milwaukee for work. That is where Matt was born, made me miss him when I pulled into the station. It was a nice train ride though, I met two sisters from Australia and was able to get a lot of work done to the sway of the train car. My friend took Ethan to piano since I was going to be late, friends who you can call for help are the best……
I took my first Zumba class this morning. My neighbor teaches at the YMCA and she taught a step class, then a core strength training, then we both took the Zumba class together. It was so very fun!!! Salsa, cha cha, funk…a little bit of everything. I am really going to try and go every week. I felt so good and for one hour to get so much exercise without it feeling like exercise was pretty spectacular.
On the drive home,I called my dad and he had just gone to his aerobics class. He has taken the same class almost every week for the last 20 years with the same instructor, she started when she was 18 and now has three children. That kind of dedication for 20 years, he is simply amazing.
Yesterday…..was fun. Jeff had off and I had to go to “the cities” for work (what locals call Minneapolis and St. Paul) so I suggested that we all go.
Chels and E were excited to miss school and go to Mall of America. There was one catch :), they went with me to work for about 30 minutes and had a tour of our amazing school there, studio and all. They had been asking what I did and I feel like we loose touch with jobs now that kids don’t work alongside parents, so yes, they ditched their school and came to our school.
After they dropped me off for some meetings, they went on a rope course and Jeff was stoked about the White Castle burgers (“worth the trip” exact quote). Then they picked me up and we headed back to Mall of America for a Volcano desert and first time ever Build a Bear experience. So cool….if you have never done it. Ethan loved warming his bear’s heart and giving him a bath. Ethan picked Frosty the Snowman and named him Harry Alsobrooks :) Chels picked out a cool shirt and dominated the rope course!
My first time ever skiing. I took a lesson with this old-time skiier, Tony. It was really fun, I hung tight to bunny hills but loved every minute of it. I am going to take Chels and E next time. The photo of me is right after I did a “J”, the instructor was very proud. It was beautiful and I was able to check something off my bucket list :)
